Focus Area: Youth, Sports
Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) focuses on serving local communities by equipping, empowering and encouraging people to make a difference for Christ using the powerful medium of athletics. Since 1954, FCA has been challenging coaches and athletes on the professional, college, high school, junior high and youth levels to impact the world for Jesus Christ.
Vision: To present to athletes and coaches and all whom they influence the challenge and adventure of receiving Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, serving Him in their relationships and in the fellowship of the church.
Mission: To see the world impacted by Jesus Christ through the influence of athletes and coaches.
Volunteers of FCA are making a difference in Syracuse by supporting the following efforts:
The Coaches Breakfast Huddle happens twice each month, offering an opportunity for area coaches to get together for prayer and conversation over breakfast.
Campus Huddles are student-led groups focused on spiritual conversation, prayer, and building relationships. Current huddles include Henninger, Nottingham, and Corcoran High Schools.
Seasonal Sports Camps are offered on Saturdays for 4-5 weeks per session at no cost for students.
Summer Sports Camp is a week-long experience which includes top-notch coaching, intense sports training, excellent speakers, and incredible friendships.
